How It All Started

We are committed to delivering the highest standards in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering through continuous improvement and client-focused strategies.

The Electrical and Mechanical Section of Sepakat Setia Perunding (Sdn) Bhd was started by Ir. Dr. Chan Kian Siang, the former Dean of the Engineering Department of University of Malaya when he joined the Board of SSP in 1976.

The primary focus of the E&M section then was to support the Engineering Consultancy services of Sepakat Setia Perunding Sdn Bhd especially on the many infrastructure projects such as highways, toll systems, dams, ports, factories and water supply and waste water schemes.

When SSP’s operational structure was reorganized into a Profit Centre in 1990, it was deemed fit and appropriate that E&M Profit Centre could operate more independently and chart their own direction in growing the business better by coming out as a subsidiary company. This has enabled a better focus on the E&M segment of the Engineering Consulting Industry.

We are the first M&E Consulting firm in Malaysia to achieve ISO 9001 Quality System registration in 1998 and has since maintained and continually improved on its system up till now. To date, E&M has integrated ISO 37001 – Anti Bribery Management System (ABMS) into their existing ISO 9001 Quality System, with that the Quality System is now renamed as Integrated Management System (IMS)
